Thorneyhaugh's two cottages sit within the Northumberland countryside,
each one thoughtfully converted to offer a genuinely special place to stay.
Named after the native trees that grow nearby, Oak and Ash share the same secluded setting but each has its own character, making them equally suited to a romantic break for two, a family getaway or a larger gathering of friends by taking both cottages.
Both properties are immaculately presented, finished to a superior standard with care taken over every detail. Expect quality furnishings, well-equipped kitchens, reliable WiFi and the kind of comfort that makes it easy to completely switch off.
They share a wonderfully peaceful setting and are well placed for exploring the very best of Northumberland, from the Simonside Hills and the River Coquet to the Northumberland coast and the many historic sites in between. We are situated in close proximity to the Northumberland Dark Skies area, and as there are very few dwellings around us, the night sky has become one of our best assets.

Oak is the largest property of the two with an additional bedroom with en-suite facilities on the first floor.
Kingfishers, Curlews and Owls, and many other species of birds, can often be spotted around the farm and along the river. Watching our avian neighbours is a fabulous way to while away the hours and a rare treat for those visiting from busy towns and cities.
