Thorneyhaugh Farm sits on the banks of the River Coquet as it meanders its way from hill to sea, just outside the market town of Rothbury in the heart of Northumberland.
Run by Mick and Gillian Lishman, it is a working farm in the truest sense, home to cattle and sheep that graze the fields and hillsides that surround the cottages.
The two holiday cottages, Oak and Ash, grew from a desire to share this very special corner of Northumberland with guests looking for something a little different. Each barn conversion has been finished with genuine care and attention, and every stay is looked after with a personal touch that only a small, family-run property can offer.
Whether you are here to walk the hills, explore the Northumbrian coast, fish the Coquet or simply do very little at all, we hope Thorneyhaugh gives you the kind of retreat that is hard to find and easy to come back to.
We look forward to welcoming you.
